Now that Thanksgiving is officially over and all the fall decorations have been stored away, the Christmas holiday is in full swing!  Christmas trees are being decorated, stockings are being hung, gifts are being wrapped and holiday party’s are being planned.

Christmas is a wonderful time for family traditions many of which have been passed down from generation to generation.  One such tradition in my family is our annual Christmas Eve party.  The children all draw names so they really look forward to exchanging their gifts and playing with their new toys.  The adults on the other hand also draw names and look forward to exchanging their gifts, but it’s a much better gift - bottles of wine!  A bottle of wine is the perfect Christmas gift – just the right size, fit and color! 

This year we’re all buying Elk Creek Vineyards wine so I’m really looking forward to our gift exchange!  After the exchange a bottle of wine is opened, glasses are filled and a toast is made for health, happiness and prosperity in the New Year.  A wine gift exchange really is a great idea and everyone in my family loves it.
