Wine is Perfect for Mother’s Day!

Now that the Easter holiday has come and gone and the Easter decorations have been stored away, the next (and most important) holiday of the year is Mother’s Day!  Sunday May 10th is that one day a year where mother’s get pampered and fussed over.  Personally, I think once a year is definitely not enough – not even close!  Being a mother, I can attest to the fact that there really should be a “Mother’s Day” at least every other week.  Everything that a mother does for her family can not be sufficiently praised in just one day!

However, having said that a Mother’s Day weekend at the Elk Creek Vineyard Lodge does go a long way of showing just how much you love and appreciate everything she does for you.  And if that isn’t enough of a hint for my husband and children, then maybe all the post-it notes I’ve placed around the house with Elk Creek Vineyard’s picture and phone number on them might just be!

With a busy schedules of kids, work, carpools, practices, cleaning and cooking a mom’s work is never done.  This Mother’s Day give your mom a weekend of relaxation and quiet in the majestic rolling hills of Kentucky.  Massages, wine tasting and tours, art gallery, wonderful food, peaceful setting and the best wine Kentucky has to offer.   If I’m only going to get one Mother’s Day a year, that’s exactly how I want to spend it!

Show your mom/wife/grandmother just what they mean to you by giving them just what the doctor ordered – a weekend of down-home southern hospitality at it’s best (and a few bottles of Kentucky Proud Wines doesn’t hurt either)!

2009 Summer Concert Series!

March 30th, 2009 by Lexie No comments »

It’s that time of year again for Elk Creek Vineyards 2009 Summer Concert Series!  I for one have been biting at the bit to see what amazing bands they have playing this year on their outdoor amphitheater.

Well I can tell you the wait was definitely worth it!  Returning again this year due to overwhelming turnouts because they rocked from last summer; the amazing Buddy Guy (with special guest Quinn Sullivan) and A1A, the official Jimmy Buffet tribute band.  Plus some new faces to the Elk Creek summer series;  Pocket Change will play for the July 4th weekend while Rozzi will once again dazzle us with their spectacular fireworks and Darius Rucker (of Hootie and the Blowfish) with special guest Jason Jones will be the reason we’ll all be getting together at Elk Creek Vineyards in July!

This is just a few of the bands that are going to be playing at Elk Creek this summer.  The full schedule is still being put together but I’m sure it won’t disappoint!  What can be better than sitting outside on a beautiful summer’s night, listening to unbelievable musicians and all the while relaxing with a glass of the best wine in Kentucky?  I’m pretty sure it doesn’t get any better than that!
