It’s mid August and the schools are getting ready to open for another whirlwind school year. Before you have to start back with car pooling, homework, sports practices and PTA meetings give yourself a little indulgence at Elk Creek Vineyards.
Stop by some evening and relax in the Winery with a wonderful soothing glass of wine while listening to the accoustic sounds of some of the best local musicians around. Gather with your friends for a night of winding down and enjoying each others company. A good bottle of Kentucky wine amongst friends has a way of relaxing the mind, body and soul. Or if you need more than just a night to prepare yourself for the upcoming school year, by all means the Elk Creek Vineyards Bed and Breakfast is the perfect spot to relax for a weekend.
Unwind with a lovely massage and enjoy a fabulous dinner.

And believe me if you have school aged children you’re going to need it this time of year! Just the shopping alone for school clothes and school supplies is enough to ruffle the feathers of even the sweetest mother and father.
So come on out to Elk Creek Vineyards for some relaxation and rejuvination.
The only thing that will require your full attention will be to answer the question,
“Red or white wine?”

Even though summer is slowly coming to an end and the school supplies are in full force at your local stores there’s still a lot going on at Elk Creek Vineyards.
If you haven’t had a chance to enjoy any of the wonderful concerts at their outdoor amphitheater, there are still two more concerts left in the summer series!
On Saturday, August 15, the Kentucky Symphony featuring “songs of the 70’s” will be entertaining everyone. Step back to in time to the sounds of Earth, Wind and Fire, James Taylor, The Doobie Brothers, Chicago, Stevie Wonder and many more!

Then Elk Creek’s last outdoor concert series for the summer of 2009 will be on Saturday, September 12 with none other than the motown group themselves, “The Temptations”. What a way to end the summer!

On top of their outdoor concert series, they still have all this going on:
- talented local musicians performing in the Winery every Friday and Saturday night
- wonderful art exhibits in the Gallery
- cooking classes with a guest master chef
- wine tours and tastings
- relaxing massages
- bed and breakfast at the Lodge
There is always something going on at Elk Creek Vineyards. Why not stop by for a glass of Kentucky wine and enjoy true southern hospitality at it’s best!
